WeekSquire Privacy Policy
Who this is for
WeekSquire ("the app," "we," "us") is a weekly task-scheduling app published by Vincent Demeulenaere, trading as Squire Builds (Molenbos 47B, 2560 Nijlen, Belgium; enterprise number 1040.610.258). This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and what your choices are. There is no user account system — WeekSquire identifies your installation anonymously on your device, not you personally.
What we collect
Tasks and schedule data. The tasks you type in and the schedule the app builds are stored on your device only, using standard on-device app storage. We don't operate a server database of your tasks.
Calendar data. If you grant calendar permission, the app reads your existing calendar events so the AI can schedule around them, and writes the schedule you confirm back to a calendar you choose. This is one-way: WeekSquire never modifies or deletes events it didn't create, and never reads your calendar without your explicit permission grant. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
An anonymous device identifier. The app generates a random identifier on first launch, stored only on your device, used to enforce the free-tier weekly usage limit and to check subscription status. It is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal account — there is no account to link it to.
Subscription and purchase data. If you subscribe to WeekSquire Pro, the purchase is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and subscription status is managed through RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives the anonymous device identifier and purchase/entitlement data (e.g., "this device has an active Pro subscription") — not your name or payment details, which the app store handles directly and never shares with us.
Task text sent to build your schedule. When you tap "Build my schedule" or "Regenerate," the tasks you've entered and your calendar availability for that week are sent securely to our backend (Supabase) and from there to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a proposed schedule. This data is used only to build your plan — never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to build a profile of you. It is not linked to your identity beyond the anonymous device identifier described above. We do not control, and this policy does not override, Anthropic's own data handling as an infrastructure provider — see Anthropic's privacy policy for how they process API requests on our behalf.
What we don't do
- We don't require an account, email, or phone number to use WeekSquire.
- We don't sell your data to anyone.
- We don't use your tasks or calendar data for advertising.
- We don't have two-way calendar sync — we never read your calendar except to build a schedule, and never touch events we didn't create.
Your choices
- Calendar permission can be granted, denied, or revoked at any time in your device's system settings. Denying it means WeekSquire can't read or write your calendar, but the rest of the app still works.
- Deleting your data happens by deleting the app — since everything task-related lives on your device, uninstalling WeekSquire removes it. Your subscription (if any) survives independently via the App Store/Google Play, and "Restore Purchases" reconnects it if you reinstall.
- Notifications (planning reminders, end-of-day check-ins) can be turned off individually in the app's Settings.
Data retention
Task and schedule data lives on your device for as long as you keep the app installed. On our servers, we retain only the minimum needed to enforce the free-tier weekly limit (an anonymous counter, reset weekly) and to verify subscription status. We do not retain the content of your tasks or schedule after a request to build your schedule completes, beyond what's needed for that request to succeed.
Children's privacy
WeekSquire is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
